Scope: The South Mississippi Kidney Centers suffered extensive damage during Hurricane Katrina. The restoration work involved treating mold, renovating the nurse's station, re-roofing, cutting the slab, installing a new floor scale, repairing the EIFS system, as well as demolishing and replacing the HVAC systems, communication system, electrical infrastructure, and interior features such as welded vinyl flooring, counters, and oak trim windows at five locations.
Mississippi Department of Transportation
Scope: Wiggins Rest Station is a new 2,750 square foot building which includes drinking fountains, receptionist area, electric roll-down partitions, iron fencing and gates, ceramic tile rest rooms, seating area, and metal roofing with copper gutters and downspouts.
Public Piers of Gulfport, Mississippi
Scope:
Nine piers required replacement due to damage during Tropical Store Isidore and Hurricane Lili. Over 38,000 feet of marine recreational piers were repaired or replaced as well as adding new electrical lighting, plumbing, covered seating, fish cleaning station, 70 foot fishing platform, erosion control, and specialty signage.
Clower-Thornton Nature Trail
Scope: Clower-Thornton Nature Trail replaced the dirt trail with a new wooden raised boardwalk with railing and repaired railing and decking on the bridge. The boardwalk included a handicap access ramp, two observation decks, and winds over 275 feet through protected wetlands.
